250w Radium too much for LPS?

Hello everyone. I have a 24" cube, with a 250w Radium. I have a lot of space in the lower half of the tank, and I was wondering is this is too much light for LPS? What signs should I look for if LPS is getting too much light?

I'd rather not switch to a different source...I just like the light too much.

I think you'll be ok. If anything start the corals on the very bottom towards the sides at first and then reposition them accordingly if need be. Take advantage of those shady spots if you have them. If they're receiving too much light some of the signs you'll see are retracted polyps, loss of color and they'll start to expel Zooxanthellae on a regular basis too.

Not too much in general. Depends on the variety. Some lps, such as hammers, when properly acclimated, can take more light (300 par for example) than say, some chalices which like less than 100. Bleaching is typically one sign of too much light.

I run 400w Radiums over my 24" deep 100g. In terms of light per type of coral, going from least to most, for me are chalices, Favia, Blastomussa, acans / Micromussa, Euphyllia, Montipora, Acropora.
