hi all... its Bahadir from Istanbul Turkey and this is the story of my 258 gallons (975 liters) custom Drop off Tank. After having 3 standard reef tanks during the last 12 years I decided to have something different. And this is what came up as a drop-off tank finally. Here I start to share some photos of the early steps of the project.

Wow! So what are the advantages to this style of tank? Cannot wait to see more!

First of all I am able to see the tank from 2 long sides and 1 short side (which is the deepest side). There is a slight slope ( which I am installing seramic rock-wall ).It will be interesting to put the corals and also have some caves for the fish to hide among this area.

There's an old thread somewhere that has one of these drop off tanks and they did some really cool stuff with it
