So I stopped by Fuji's this weekend and he tells me about a full setup that is for sale in Ripley, a guy that is a regular at the shop. It perks my interest immediately mainly because of the live rock, corals, etc. that was included. Anyhow, the more I thought about it the more interested I became, so I called the guy and ended up driving to Ripley on Saturday to look at it. It is a neglected system, because the guy is gone all week long and only home on weekends. But the tank is an 84x24x30 (265g) glass, with a trough-type sump. It has 1-400watt halide in the center, 2-175w on the ends. There is at least 400 lbs of live rock in there, a good bit of softy corals and several fish. He has a 6' tall Top Fathom skimmer too, but it doesn't look very good. I opted to pass on this setup for two reasons 1) I have to pay taxes soon and 2) I am going to go to a much bigger tank in the near future so I don't need anymore fish tanks to take care of. But for someone that is looking to upgrade or looking for a new setup this would be a great deal. I dont' even remember the guys name but if anyone wants this PM me for his phone number. I'd rather see someone on here get it and take care of the livestock rather than someone get it and all of the stuff die.

Yes, my next tank will be at least twice the size of my current one, which is 380g. Soon as the economy turns around I am going to build a house and will be going with at least a 600-700g tank. Something in the 10-12' range in length. Haven't decided on width and height. The 265 would make a good sump for it, lol.

My word, saltwater? Only way I would do a tank that big is if I could either A) pay someone to do the water changes for me or B) have it setup for a push of a the button or pull of the lever does it automatically. I'm not looking forward to 30G a month!

... it would be cool though.
