Hutches and corner cabinets in:

Got a little bit more done today:

I had the tank on a wooden stand so I raised it up and put it on my dollies then rolled it over to the stand that I raised to an inch lower then the tank then slid it from one stand to the other.

Still no luck with matching your stain. I'll keep looking though when I can.

Everything came together very nicely. I think it will be amazing once its done. Is the flooring carpet?

Robb,

looks awesome. I am going to follow this thread. Get working and posting!! :)

lol, I'm working as fast as I can!

How do you planned to get your sump in?? Is the legs support removable??

They do come out, I already gave it a try, the sump fits.

Let me know if you want me to ship you that sample, or if your in Edmonton soon I can arrange to pass it along.

I'm going to give Sherwin Williams a try, they are supposed to be pretty good at matching stain.

I did a really bad job of stitching two photos together to get an idea what it would look like.. I couldn't resist the urge to throw a light up there.

Robb, this is looking awesome, I can't wait to see this finished. I am a woodworker and love the cabinet inset idea.

Very nice setup!!!

I would remove the styro or find something around 1/4" thick...

The tank is sitting higher then it will be when finished.. I had to raise the stand up to get the tank on it. it has since been lowered and the styrofoam is now below the edge, so it won't be seen.

Thanks Ken,

Still a few things to do, but it's coming together!

I have to build the canopy as the cabinet company couldn't / wouldn't do it. I'm a littler nervous about getting it to match. We'll see how it turns out.

have you though of setting the lights within the ceiling and leaving the top of the tank open? either way awsome job/build so far!

I'll be building the canopy to match the rest of the unit. My better half wants the crown molding to carry across the top of the tank so it all matches.

Not much to report theses days, still waiting on a few things to show up.

Here is about a 1/4 of my rock. ECO Rock from Bulk Reef Supply

I was originally planning a to use a GEO reactor but it ended being about an inch too tall.. I found a pretty good deal on a used PM locally so I picked it up.
