why didnt you sell the tank? instead of breaking it

The tank was already broken and unrepairable.... Laminated glass

how is the sump coming????

I ordered the glass to make the chambers on Saturday. I have to pick them up sometime this week.

The tank is in earlier then I thought. I went and took a look at it today, I'm going to try and pick it up before the end of the week.

In the meantime here is the set-up I built for my faux fish room. It's not actually connected to the tank in any way but it's a place in the basement I can use for tank related stuff instead of using the main floor facilities.

It's here! Now I have to get it into the basement.

Looks great Robb - is the top frame plastic or metal??

Both the tank and the sump have plastic trim, I didn't know you could get metal trim. I'm not sure I would want it, depending on what material is was made of..

Hopefully not long. I would like to gt the sump plumbed in and let it cycle for the summer. While it's cycling I can slowly plumb in the closed loops and get everything else up and running.

Here is the basic layout for under the tank.

This will be the electrical cabinet:

I'll build a shelf so the equipment isn't sitting on the floor:

The pumps will be located behind this door, they will be easy to maintain and swap out should I need.

The tank is still sitting high from the install so pay no attention to the wood blocking. It will be removed.

I'm placing an order with BRS this week. They ship to Canada on Fridays so I should be able to start plumbing it next week. I plan on getting the drains and returns plumbed first. Then I'll plumb the rest as time permits... I generally don't have a lot of free time in the summer so start up might not happen until fall / winter.
