The lighting rack is getting there. We decided to hang the rack on the sun lifts to get it into position so I can determine how long the atachment pieces for the T5 portion need to be as well as teh moonlight spots.
the light I am using is for a recessed par 38 can. It has 60 individual dimmable LEDS that are in the 470 nm wavelength. I am not using any Gel for the light at all. I will post a pics of it here in a bit with some updates. I had about 10 days of haor algea and diatoms but now things are clean as a whistle again. Phosphates are 0.03 on my Hanna Meter and everything else is undetectable on the test kits. Again I have no nuissance algea growing either.
i got one for my new tank and do not know if it should be submerged or if some of the boax should stick out fo the water. Also, do you get a good sized wave with it?
My box is set up with the water just above the water line on the box itself. I get a 1.5 inch wave from mine on a six foot tank. The wave will (once it starts back up from the feed timer) re-suspend any uneaten food that was on the sand bed and in the rocks too. It is an awsome piece of equipment to have as an adjunct to water motion in any aquarium.
The tank is doing well. I have a minor issue right now related to Zeo additives but beyond that life is good. I just installed an ozonizer this week and my water clarity issue is clearing up as is the zeo issue.
