Hello all old reef buddies!
Bill had already posted a sell thread to get me going (thanks Bill!) but I got a new wireless modem yesterday so my PC problems should be fixed. Yes I am selling the 270 sadley. Sometimes life just doesn't pan out the way we all hope it does and "untell death do us part" is sometimes shortened into untell one of them just changes there minds". Yes we are trying to sell the dream home and my dream tank but honestly I had lost all intrest in the tank over the past year or longer as it was and the inhabitens have suffered. We have had 21 showings on the home in 60 days and only 1 couple loved the tank and wanted to keep it definetly but haven't put in an offer.
I guess a 300 gallon fish tank in your living room is just not everyones cup of tea.....So we have taken the house off the market for a month to rip the tank out and put in some boaring ol shelf. I know ..."GASP"... from all us fish nuts but the tank seems to be hurting the house more than helping it and we are in a bit of a hurry so we can get on with the rest of our lifes. So I will list the tank and all the stuff to go with it. I will add to the list tommorow with some more pics. I had knee surgery today so I am laid up for 3 days minimum so I figure I can hang out on-line and hopefully sell all my goodies. I had an old double meniscal tear I figured I better get fixed on his insurence as one last parting gift :eek2: :uzi:
TANK: Purchased the spring of 2008 from glasscages so its aprox. 3 years old. It has starfire front and back and 1.5" overflows on both ends with PVC durso's installed. It has 1 tiny scratch that is about 1 inch long and very faint. I don't even think a camera will pick it up if I took a pic so the tank is in perfect condition. One of the overflow covers got cracked during the widening of the teeth on a table saw but it doesn't hurt the functioning of it at all. It's 7 ft long 24x24x30 and built like a tank. I had them make 4 openings on the top so you can get better coverage with 4 halides and no cross braces are in the way. I would like to get $1,500 for the set up as listed and will put up part out prices in a few days after it has been on craigslist a bit as a set up.
2 250 WATT icecap metal halides with spider reflectors
2 400 Watt "?" brand metal halides with spider reflectors ( I will look in the morning)
2 Tunze with the multicontroller (I think Bill mentioned the size I will look to be sure) I will give the guy who posted on Bills thread dibbs...
Big Iwaki pressure rated pump
100 gallon rubbermaid sump
at least 300 lbs of mixed figi, tonga and marshal island rock.
I'll add more as I think of it and hobble around looking at names and extras in the garage.
PIC OF ROCK....
