28-135mm canon lens - used price?

What do you guys think a fair price would be for a used 28-135mm lens? I'm thinking about getting rid of it when I have the $ to order the 24-70L.

I think that you'll be lucky if you can get $200 for it.

Trust me, even if you don't sell it, once you use the 24-70 you'll never touch that thing again.

That's pretty cool, but I'd rather put the $50 into a lens to keep.

I almost want to bid on that tokina 12-24mm lens on ebay. It's like $230. I hate ebay though. Everything is "perfect" but you'll get it and it'll have scratches all over the place. :lol:

I'd say try before you buy. Did you check your local camera store (not the big retailers like Wolf or Ritz) as they may have rentals?

I still have my 28-135 mm and it's okay. I originally bought it when I had my film camera. I admit I like the one L lens (the discontinued 17-35 mm) I do have as it's still miles apart from the 28-135 mm.
