29 gallon BC problems

So I have a 29 gallon bio cube that has rapid LED's 20 LED kit retrofitted into the hood runs really nice. I have had a gold Maxima living in the sand for 2 or 3 weeks no problems, and i just picked up a Crocea the other day it is having no problems. I even have a green birds nest in the sand that Ive seen growth on, but when it comes to my LPS they can not be anything lower then mid level in my tank or else they start to die, and if they are at mid level they open very slowly from the stress of moving. my lobo brian has even receded and died off like .2 of an inch since my upgrade in lighting. now that it is summer Ive also seen my tank go up in heat. In the morning the temp will be about 78 degrees and when my lights go off at night it will be like 86 degress Its really worrying me but Im unsure what to do I have a stock pump the biocube circulation pump the LED's and a 26 watt for my fuge pressed on the back of the tank, Im not even running my heater any more
Does any one know what I could do to help this problem other then buy a chiller for my tank?
any advice would be appreciated thank you!!

I have a similar setup 29BC with the 24LED kit.

Opening the front and back lids will help to lower your temp, if you get a small fan to blow into the opening it will lower temps even more.

How many amps are you running through your LEDs?

+ 1 on open lids. My rear lid is open most the time. I have stock lighting but plan to upgrade to leds. Also, i have a 60mm box fan mounted on acrilic in the back chamber. Runs when lights are on and dropped my temps from 85+ to max 82 with lids down and 80 ish with the back lid open.

There is a pic on another thread.

Have you offset the fuge light and leds? Run leds on normal schedule and fuge when the leds are off? Thought leds were going to run cooler?...
