2nd Annual Auction/Picnic Bash in AUG

Just to give everyone a head up so you can mark your calendars and save your pennies, cash in your empties etc... Our 2nd annual auction/picnic will be on Aug 6 hosted by Dawn. Time, location, directions to be posted by Dawn later.....

We will be gathering goods to auction to help raise funds for SWAM..... the funds will go towards Barry's visit to ME this Oct.
We will probably use the same auction procedure as we did last year.. each item has a chart with a min bid by it, people are assigned a number and they put their number and bid on it... the auction will have a cutoff time, when time is out, the person with the highest bid gets the item...

Please bring a favorite side dish, SWAM will provide hot dogs and burgers and beverage...... it will be very helpful if you list your dish so we do not have loads of potato salads

We could also use a volunteer for cooking and to help with the auction tallying for winning bids.....

We also do a bottle drive so til then, drink as much as ya can and bring your empties :beer:

Myself and the wife will finally be able to attend, as long as plans don't change between now and then. We'll bring a dessert, not sure what exactly just plan on it being tasty and of course fattening

12-3 we will party at Dawns camp, 3:30 - 4 view the goods for auction which will be held at Sunrise Aquatics, auction to go from 4-5..

I'd really like to come, but Sunday during the summer is more or less reserved for going to Peaks Island to dance. I find it very good stress relief. This weekend I am reluctantly skipping this event to work on my garage. I might fall apart if I miss 2 weekends in a row.

Bring your bathing suits so we can go play on the lake. The boats (ski and party barge) are both in the water, so we should use them.

Kids and (nice) dogs are welcome. I'm hoping to also round up some local reefers who haven't joined yet.

Matt, really if dancing is important to ya, I am sure no one would oppose to ya doing it at the auction. Maybe we can take bids for partners for ya?!?!?!?!? Kinda like rent a hubby, only it is rent a dance partner! HMMMMMM may be on to something....

I am looking for some muscles to help load an aquarium after the meet.... the location is not very far from the meet...... anyone got some to offer? The aquaiurm and stand were made in China, the aquarum is made a little differently than our standard set-ups. The stand is very oranate, if anyone has any leads on a restaurant or other location that is into the oriental theme, please let me know.....

If you saw me out at peaks you would know I'm not interested in finding a partner. I'm just out there for a bit of stress relief and everything else (people etc) just fade into the background and become nearly invisible. Very funny though. Pretty much done with the whole relationship thing anyway. Never been good at them. I kind of like to find my own partners anyway. Always hate when somebody tries to fix me up. Always been resistent to imput from others....

Have fun. I'm sure it will be a blast. It was last year!
