Hey

I have 2x 6025 in my 54L setup, but the U-shaped holders has become very loose.. Nomatter wich direction i try to point the pump, it just fals down in a couple of hours, and points towards the bottom.

Is there any kind of warranty on this problem? It's not really possible for me to send the holding devices in, up front, because i don't have any other pumps for spare :)

How old are these pumps? We used two kinds of plastic, up to October 2007 we used Lexan, it would crack and become loose because it was broken. After October 2007 we changed to Luran this is very flexible and if it is stretched you can fix it by just removing the clamp from the pump and magnet and squeezing it back. Luran is so flexible you can squeeze it until both ends of the c touch and it will not break.

They are about 4 months old.

I tried to squeeze them together, and it worked like a charm - Now i can direct the pumps once again! :D

Is this something i'll have to do on a regular base?

It isn't a common complaint, I do have people ask about this on occasion but it is relatively rare so I don't think it will be a constant problem.

Great, thanks..

Do you have any knowledge about how it becomes loose? Anything i can do to prevent it from happen again?

It is not a real common problem, my best understanding of the problem is that they exit the mold hot and depending on humidity, room temperature and weight as they pile up from the molding machine they may bow a little after production as they cool. The machines making the parts run 24/7 and the parts pile up in bins as they are made. Usually they make the same part for a day or two and change the mold to make another part. They also bow from the pumps being pulled in and out.
