2x10 and floor strength - will it hold?

I am setting up a 125g (48x30x20) aquarium in my house.

The aquarium will have to run parallel with the floor joists.

Since the house was built in '49 I suspect the floor joists are hardwood and are true 2x10 beams. The aquarium will span over approximately three of these.

These beams span 13 ft from the poured foundation of the house to the main support beam that runs the entire length of the house. In addition, one of the metal poles that supports the main beam is directly in line with the 2x10's that would support the tank.

I am not sure if it matters but the floor is solid oak that runs perpendicular to the joists.

Should I have much to worry about?

running the tank parallel is/has always been a bad idea

despite 2x10 you may get some sagging

I would throw a jack post centered right under the tank, using that to support a 2x10 header that supports the joists the tank sits on. The effects of the sagging would not be immediate, but would likely give you some un-fun problems soon enough.
