3 clowns 1 tank

I know in general you need big tanks and lots of space to have more than 1 pair of clowns. I have a 120g with a adult sized pair of saddle clowns (amongst other fish). Someone locally has a 20g with 3 clowns, 2 paired up and keep the 3rd in a corner, so he is going to look to re-home the straggler. I'm considering it, but am worried the large female saddle will not take kindly to a new clown.

How terrible of an idea would it be?

It's kind of you to want to rescue the poor little fella, but I don't think he'll fare any better with your clowns. Saddlebacks are very territorial (so I've heard).

They definitely are. They actually pick snails off the rocks and swim them to the other side of the tank, lol.

Same concern I had about putting another clown in there. I'm sure he'll find a home eventually.
