I purchased a small piece of live rock with my BTA and now have some worms all over the rock. There are 3 different types. 1st is small white circlular, 2nd is long white looks like snake skin that shed, and finally some sort of tube worm? not really sure. I spent several hours last night trying to I'd these guys and couldn't find anything that looked exactly the same.
Ps don't mind my clown she is a diva and will try to get in any picture I take of the tank. In this picture look just under her first white stripe you will see the tube worm like thing sticking out.
Please help id

Colonial Hydroids

Colonial Hydroids

Yes,they look exactly like Colonial Hydroids, those darn things! I am going to get the rock out of there since the nem moved to a different rock. Thanks!!

If it's just that small patch of hydroids, you could try smothering them with some epoxy. I do this to my zoanthids, GSP, blue clove polyps etc all the time. GL.

I took it out just in case. I did find a few amphipods in the rock when I took it out. My kids got a kick out of watching them. We put it in a glass, and they entertained the kids for a solid 20 minutes watching them zoom around. I love my tank!
