you need a bigger tank! the tang is gona stress bad in that small of a tank bring him back or get a bigger tank

Please take the tang out. They get over 12ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ and he will die in your tank. Just keep the two clowns and your tank will be great.

75 gals is the minimum for ANY tang. Most need bigger! You need to get a bigger tank or he WILL eventually die from stress. The tank looks really nice though. Those clowns will be perfect.

I have a kole tang in a 75 and it's stressed I am trading him to the LFS. IMO, no tangs should be kept in tanks less than 6'.

I'm bothered by the idea of having to remove him but i'd imagine it's for the best. I'll keep it in mind and trade him in. My only problem would be that the clowns are becoming more friends and adapted to their new home in my tank but they hide alot and usually won't leave the right side of the tank since the rocks for a cave that they've taken as their hideout. Any other suggestions? Any corals that would add contrast to my tank? Any expert advice to be passed down? I'm all ears.

PS. recently read that my starfish will sandsift and eat things in my live sand that are needed. Get rid of him? Replace him?

Here ya go...

I'd remove the tang and leave the clowns with their own tank. I'd also remove the Goniopora/Alveopora (flowerpot). Very few people have success with these corals, they require loads of TLC and expertise as well as a mature tank. Get your money back if you can, IMHO the store shouldn't have sold it to someone fairly new to the hobby with a new(ish) tank.

I do agree with everyone about the sailfin. It just sucks seeing as how it's become so playful. As for the flowerpot, at first i was told they were easy to keep. A little while later I found good reading on it(here) and found they aren't for the beginner. I've had the flower pot for approx. 3 weeks now and it's opened more everyday. No decoloration or shrinkage to be seen anywhere. In fact, they actually look better then the gold polyps sitting beside it. which i'm debating moving lower since it won't open full. What kind of TLC should i be showing the flowerpot? also, should the pair of clownfish cap my fish for this tank? Reading on them says they grow to be 3.5 inches? and i don't want to over over populate with the new knowledge of my fish.

[welcome]
tank looks great,
i agree take the tang back and get another smaller fish like a goby they can be a blast to watch. i would say 3-4 small fish max in that tank.
