Friends,
Well, I came home to find my 6000 completely dead. When I say dead, I mean not running, single controller not lit, and transformer hot. I've spent a total of three hours trying to see if I could get it running- I first unplugged it from power, and followed the cleaning instructions, and even took apart the drive unit. It had some sedimentation in it, but not a lot. I cleaned every piece, carefully reassembled, and after letting the transformer cool off for a few hours, I fired it back up. It acted like it wanted to start, but didn't. The lights on the single controller came back on, but the pump on light quickly went off, and I could hear something like the power surging on and off, and the one light that was lit on the controller went dim . I've checked everything I can think of, and have reseated the drive unit numerous times with no luck. This 6000 is three months old, and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Does anyone know where I need to send it for warranty work? Or have any other suggestions of something I can try? I will say this, I have cleaned it every few weeks, and right now it is as clean as it was when it was new. Thanks in advance.
Chris
