New to the forum, but have been in the reeftank hobby for about 12 years.

Started this Aqua Pod about three months ago. Most of the LR and Corals came out of a 12 gal Nano Cube that was running for about 7 months (and now sits on my desk at work going thru a cycling prosess). I added about 20 lbs of LR to the 12 lbs I already had. 20 Lbs Live sand and a Heater. I tossed the Bio Balls and ceramics. Mods will follow below.

Inhabitants: 6 red legs, 6 blue legs, 12 Astrias, 4 Nasarius, 2 peppermints, 1 Scooter Blenny, 2 Percs, Various Shrooms, Cabbage Coral, Pulsing Xenia, various Zoe's, Hammer coral and Green stars. 1 Sebae Anenome that was an adoption from a sure death ( I have found a new home for it and delivering this weekend)

Salinity 1.025
Temp 79.5f - 82.4f

Dose: Reef Solutions and Calcium

Lighting time: Actinics on at 8am, off at 10pm. Daylights on at 9am off at 9pm. Moon glow's 24hr.

1 gallon water change a week

Mods: For those of you that have the Aqua Pod, you already know that the fan is just way too loud (and why would they just give you 1 when it is molded for 2, and 1 cheap one at that)!
I tossed the fan and installed 2 thermo-fans (they ramp up or down depending on the heat) let me tell you, I cannot even hear them run, even at full throttle. I swiched the actinic and Daylight positions so the fans would start with the first light cycle. There will be a couple of more mods soon. Thanks-Mike

That is a Branching Hammer Coral. It is in 2 differant locations in the tank. It is really branching and budding like crazy.
Thanks-Mike

I believe that's a Hammer Coral.

Tank looks great!

I just picked up some computer thermo-fans, same size but thicker. They were pretty easy to put in. If you give me a couple of days I will have better info and even a pic of the set-up. The whole thing cost around $20.00.

Bio - that would be great - I'd appreciate the info. I'm really wanting to get a 24. I'm just worried about heat issues and I guess adding a second fan would be good for that as well.

Do you have the MH lighting?

No, just PC's. My tank holds at 80f during the day and drops to 78f after lights out. Sorry I did not get to the pics yet, busy weekend. I will try to get it done this week. Mike-

Zoku- Here is the lighting specs:
1x32w SunPaq Dual Daylight & 1x32w SunPaq Dual Actinic and
2 Nocturnal Blue

Hope this helps-Mike
