I'd say it partly depends on what you want to keep.. not sure if 110 watts of T5 light is enough w/30 gals for SPS or not.. and if you aren't keeping sps then I don't know if you'd want to choose any of those.. another thing to look at is the pumps on most of these all in one systems need replaced..(too many watts for the gph, so cause heat issue) I like the return on the cadlights, although it doesn't look too nice with the white pvp on the black background..and the built in Skimmer doesn't look too great on the JBJ.. although I always like to see one in action before saying it would need replaced..

If the lighting is good enough on red sea for SPS i would probably pick that one, just because its the biggest and looks really nice... (if you aren't keeping sps id recommend choosing a tank w/lower intensity lighting)

Its your choice but i think the red sea is overated. The jbj, well if its like the 24 gallon version, its a crack away. I personally like the way the cadlights version looks.

Thanks Mishri and Triggerfreak. The heat issue on the Cad is taken care of by (according to Cadlights) a heat dispersing aluminum hood and glass that is against the light itself and not near the water. I agree that the cadlights is a pretty son of a gun for sure.

That Red Sea looks like the overall winner by far. Looks like a lot of thought and user input went into that tank. The others look like the same old design with a few bells and whistles added.

i really like the Cadlights, the design is so unique and it looks so AWESOME. i love the frameless open style. the JBJ looks like it could have lots of potential problems and the Red sea max seems like a great reef tank but it looks pretty much like the same'ol conventional aquarium.

hey zombie

i have not gotten a skimmer yet because the tank is pretty much crystal clear but i plan on getting the Tunze nano because Alex at Cadlights told me they specially designed the first chamber of the refugium to fit the Tunze or a remora. one of the Cad 25G owners used a sapphire skimmer and he says it worked great so its a toss up between the 3.

also i havent had much heat problems at all with my tank. the room temp is 75 and the tank gets to around 79 at its hottest point so nothing to worry about. but i pan on getting a small clip-on fan when the summer time comes to keep cool. very low amount of heat considering it is HQI, this part got me very impressed with the set-up.

i will try to take pics of my tank and post it up, i am still learning tho.

this tank is actually very popular in another forum called nano-reef.com, this guy has lots of pics of his 25G.

jewtball, i was just going to ask if the CAD25 would work with a Sapphire skimmer. I guess it will. I was looking at this tank, but was undecided because i wanted a Sapphire skimmer as i've read nothing but good things about them.

Dang, I gotta go with the Cadlights. I am bagging the jbj 150 HQI and Red Sea Max. The lights and design are killer and the fuge in back just totally sold me.......Len

Is the Res Sea MAX available in the US?

... nevermind ... I found them online at marinedepot
