3 radions enough for 300dd?

Here's what my 300 looked like with 3 radion

Cebu sun is even more light than the radions. Think about either a pair of 2 or 4 bulb 36" T5s or just some 60" T5s. This won't need much light.

With it being a FO, you can change the bulbs every other year or even when they burn out. There is no reason to change them every year. Some will argue that old bulbs create algae problems, but this is bunk... high nutrients create algae problems.

4x60" or 8x36" T5HO's will be more than you need for that you want. And will probably cost the same as a single Radion.

I know I don't need that much light but someday this might be a reef so I'd rather pay once for one light setup if that makes sense

I like the radions bc of the control but I've used t5 before and liked them a lot

I had great success with gen 1 radions on my 300. I eventually went with 5 radions on my 300

I also had great success on growing sps too. Here's a few growth progress pics

Don't buy panels now for use later. They same units will be cheaper later or you can pay just as much for newer ones which will be a generation or two newer. They don't hold their value well - not much in this hobby really does.
