any update? How is the PT reacting to the yellows now?

Bacterial septicemia is blood poisoning, so it is odd to me that more than one fish has it unless there is some other underlying cause. Regardless of what I think, keep doing what you're doing. I use Focus as well, I dose 1 heaping spoonful of Focus: 1 spoonful of antibiotic. Then I re-freeze and feed small amounts 3x/day and generally see results after 3-4 days. I tried feeding 2x/day and improvement halted, I can't say if this will be true for all fish.

Tried 3 Zebrasomas and failed.

Black (Biggest), Yellow (Next), Purple (Smallest) = Dead Purple after about 4-5 months.

I think it had more to do with the number of the fish in the tank and not really anything else. Did an odd number introduced at the same time.

Will try to add a Gem down the line, but want a lot more fish in the tank first... goes with adding more than the 4 tangs with have now as well. Want to add a total for 4 more tangs.

released 2 yellow tangs Friday with 2 purple tilefish and 5 lyetails, (one yellow died in the box a couple of weeks ago, not sure why as he was eating well and no aggression).

my much larger purple tang really started beating on both yellows and then the flame angel also started in on the yellows. With the yellows being so much smaller than the purple tang, i started to think the process was a failure and the yellows had to be removed to save them. However, aggression has stopped the yellows are picking at the rock and everyone is acting civil. i think this has worked, 2 yellow tangs and my much larger purple tang are very peaceful now.

i'm very happy with the outcome, and the tangs make quite a display. the purple is at least 3-4 times larger than the yellows and after the initial aggression stop he does not bother with either; in fact, the yellows follow the purple around the tank feeding off the rocks. i only wish all 3 yellows would have made it.

almost mesmerizing!!!! the two yellows follow the much larger purple tang around the tank picking at the rocks: zero aggression. i could not be happier with the outcome. it was, however, nerve-racking the first day!!!

I put a juvenile caribian blue 2 1/4 inches in my 180 with a 6"+ yellow, 6"+ desjardini, and 8" vlamingi. They chased the little guy around for a couple days but he was able to go places the big ones cannot. They have all settled in fine now. I think adding new fish that can get away from the others until aggression subsides it also a good way to do it.

yes, all doing very well!!! the yellows have grown very fast, they are only a bit smaller than the purple tang now. there is almost no aggression; 5 tangs and a foxface all exist peacefully. i have a 3.5 inch blue throat trigger in qt now, looking forward to adding him soon.
