30 Cube owners

I use a 250 watt HQI 14k DE MH pendant setup as far as my lighting....
For flow I have two 620 Seio's plus two Hagan 402 powerheads with FLO rotating deflectors hooked to a wave maker, plus the flow from my HOB skimmer..

When I had mine I had a 250W 10k and then swithed to a 250W 20k.... then back to a 10..... if I still had it I would have a 14k.

I use a 250 20K and it seems to taper off a lot at the bottom to being darker, did you find that is it why you changed back?

I have a PFO metal halide with power compacts pendant hanging twelve inches from the surface. PC's equal 56W of dual actinic and the metal halide is a 250W 10k Ushio powered by an Ice Cap ballast.
As far as flow, my tank has an internal overflow. The return pump is a Pan World 30 which feeds a SCWD. The outputs from the SCWD are plumbed to bulkheads on the interior of the overflow box. Attached to the overflow box are two Loc Lines split to make four outputs. These are staggered so I have switching current at seperate levels about every seven seconds. Tank is rather new , so we'll see howit works in the long run. Good luck.

Bill:)

I have a 37g cube with a pendant over it. It has a 250w SE MH bulb with two 32w PC's. Originally I had a hamilton 14k bulb in it. I just changed to a 12k Reeflux. I don't really like it so I plan on changing back to the Hamilton. Just suits my tastes better.

By the way, love your screen name. Typically I'm milhouse74 anywhere else, but I got here early enough to be just plain Milhouse!

I have a Current Orbit 24 inch lighting system on my 30 gallon. It has 4 lunar lights, two 65 watt actinic pcs and one 150 watt 10k mh. For water movement I use two maxijet 1200s and two maxijets 900s hooked up to a Redsea pro wavemaker. Also using a Remora skimmer. Currently I have no sump but have one being make to fit under the Oceanic stand.

I use a 250W DE 14K Phoenix bulb in a PFO pendant. Flow is a Tunze 7200/2 and a maxijet 600 mounted on a wavysea. Deltec MCE600 skimmer.

I love my Deltec MCE600...you cant go wrong by getting one....blows any other HOB skimmer away....pricey but IMO worth every penny
