30 Gal M Tank

Couple of questions.
I am downsizing and this tank with the 250 or 150 halide looks promising. It will be for the sps pieces that I am keeping.
he picture for all of them is the same and I was wondering if all the lighting options come with legs or do you need to hang them?
Also for heat consideration what is your experience with them? Can the t-5s be both actinic or can we choose our bulbs?
Have you known anyone to add powerheads as closed loops for more flow?
Any mods(mesh) for the skimmer?
Any input is really appreciated.

Hi J,

All of the lighting options for this system do come with the legs already, so there is no need to hang anything.

I have never ran a 250w above this tank, but I have ran the 150w above it and have not had any heat issues to speak of. This was in a room that was kept fairly cool though, 72*. We can load the fixture up with both actinics for the supplementation, or one white and one actinic, or any other combo that you would choose to go with.

I have added small powerheads in these tanks, but have never plumbed up any closed loops on them. I'm sure it would be easy to do though.

Same with the skimmer, I have never modded it, but it shouldn't be too hard to add a meshwheel to the unit. If you have a dremel, it would probably be even easier in case you need to mod the impeller that much to make it fit.
