30 Gallon Powerheads?? Help

I decided I am going to go with a 30 gallon tank (something small until I move out).. What powerheads do I need for this size tank? Also, can you recommend a hob filter & protein skimmer?

I have a 37 gallon tank and I use the API super clean power filter 50 hob filter, and reef octopus BH90 hob protein skimmer. And I use a power head that is graded for a 50 gallon tank and also a marine land maxi jet 400 multi use water pump and power head. I use so much flow because I have a pentagon shaped corner tank and it needs that much to because there's so many flat edges to slow the flow down

Thanks for the reply. What about lighting?

Is this going to be a fish only system or are you planning on keeping corals? For a fish only tank I would go with a total of about 600 GPH split between two powerheads; go with about 900-1000 gph if you are going to keep soft corals, 1200 GPH+ for SPS corals.

I have an rw-15 and 2 wp25's I can assure you its very good quality. They're old line the WP models didn't have the best build quality. The RW line doesn't have these problems. Although I haven't had a single problem out of my Wp's. The RW'S feel like I could hit with a hammer and they wouldn't even scratch they're that good.

As far as SPS goes I would stick with easier corals first like zoas and softies then work your way up once your tank has matured.
