300 gallon FOWLR in need of help!

Hi All!

Thank you for taking time to read and hopefully help me!

I have a 300 gallon FOWLR and I can't seem to keep the fish healthy (currently treating for ich).

I have a 50 gallon sump with a sock a skimmer a reactor with denitrate a UV and bioballs.

I do about 100 gallon every two week water changes with RO and instant ocean.

Do I see a queen, sohal and annularis?

I agreed as the treatment being cupramine. I’d prefer it to be done in a separate quarantine tank and your tank left fallow for 60 days.

Going forward, any fish you put in the tank needs to be quarantine and potentially treated for ich.

I don't think you have another big tank to treat all your big fishes for straight 2 months, that is a lot of pain and mess.
As I knew, half of hobbies said ICH will stay with fish all the time, doesn't matter how you treat the fish and other half said the ICH won't present if you treat them well.
In your case, you didn't have big tank to take care them, the best is let them cure themselves in the display tank, they will fine.
IMO, turn the light ON shorter time for less stress. I learned by myself is the fish less stress when the salt gravety 1.027 to 1.028. Let's them eat more and leave them alone means do not watching them and add a few cleaner shrimp.

One more thing, you need reorganize your rocks, create more room for small fishes to big fishes to hide to sleep. You can rescape like the mountain with many caves on the back.

Treat ich with ttm. Quarantine any new fish.

as to the fish comment, yes i have an annularis, sohol, queen and french all in the same tank

What is the treatment duration, it should be 30 days.

Are you monitoring the concentration? You'll need to check it at least weekly to make sure you've maintained an effective dose.

Did you remove any of the decorations / substrate? When I dose cupramine, I typically make sure to remove porous materials, like rock, decoration and substrate.

Cupramine will work if maintained at effective treatment levels for the correct amount of time.

I would think about rehoming that annularis after treatment. IMO there isn’t enough space for those fish in that tank. The stress created by the lack of shelters or caves may be adding to the fishes poor health.
