300dd Vegas build

Its been a while since ive posted on here. Between moving and work havnt had a lot of time. My dream has always been a 300dd and i was finally able to get one. The stand is a steel stand made locally and i had it powder coated white for longevity. Eventually i will have a wood facing put around the stand and a canopy for the lights, but for now it will just be the stand exposed. Im having Elite Aquatics make me a custom sump, hopefully that will be here in a few weeks, for now its just ordering and waiting.

did you buy this off the fish store near lowes and st rose pkwy. If so you beat me too it. If not where u get it?

When you wrap your stand in wood,I would get some magnets and attach all sides with them so you can easily remove the panels if you need to get under there.

I did buy it from the fish shop on st. rose. When i do the wood im going to still have doors around the bottom, 2 in the front and 1 on each side, you will be able to crawl all the way through it.

Sounds awesome! Whats the name of the fish store you bought it from? I'm looking to get a 8 foot peninsula tank sometime in the next 6 months. Right now I'm looking at the Visio tanks.

The fish store in question I don't think he regularly sales fish tanks of that size but instead was a purchase for himself that he decided not to do because hes so busy. Nice pick up Rupus I was waiting to close on my house and was going to pick it up if its still available. LOL. Good luck and I look forward to watching your build. I might pull the trigger on a miracles tanks after i move. I've been out of reefing for a couple years and going back in. LVVR site closed down to my dismay. Does anyone know if there's a local forum anywhere?

"The fish store in question"…...Lol is this some secret society LFS and we can't use its name haha. Anyway, there are two local forums that I know of but they are both Facebook based groups to my knowledge. Well LVMAS has a webpage but I see most of the activity being done on Facebook. Both are closed groups so you just need to ask for permission, but once you are in there's a great group of people in both groups. Lots of frags and equipment being sold too!

There's also sin city reefer's market place on facebook. Sin city Reefers and LVMAS facebook groups are both very active and a lot of great people on there.

I love the e46 m3. On the lines of mustangs, i built a daily driver mustang with my stepdad, i built he paid, it does 10.4 in the quarter. My mom also works for Shelby American here in Vegas and she just got a 2015 GT which they are having made into a Super Snake. We like our cars.

I love the e46 m3. I really want to grab one as a project car but if I do that then my 240g I have planned with get put on the back burner (wife laid down the law). For now I'll just keep playing with my 335i"¦.first world problems i guess.

Been waiting on the sump and other things to arrive so not much progress. I just got pictures of the sump, all finished and ready to ship out. Should have it within the next week.
Looks great and super excited to get it under the tank. In the mean time ive been busy with my other hobby.
Traded in the wife's M5 and my M3, picked up a brand new M4 for her and M3 for me. Absolutely love them.
