Hello all. I like to see reef logs and thought I would share mine. I hope you enjoy it. Matt
This is a pic of my 10 gallon QT. It was my sump from a few years ago. I ripped out a few baffles and that's why you see some silicone on the inside of the tank. It has been setup since early January.
As you can see I am using the dreaded Seaclone skimmer, a mistake from when i was a newbie. I am using my old 80 watt Current Orbit fixture for light and an Eheim compact 600 for flow.
This is a pic of my 30 gallon cube with the foam rock installed. I foamed the overflow box to with hopes that it would blend better. Its an old box so why not try it? Hopefully it works fine.
My girl friend is sick of the tank being empty. I came home one day to a crowded tank.
Here is the inside stand setup. The sump/fuge is a 3 chamber. Overflow spills into the skimmer section, then it spills over into the fuge section, and then it spills into the return section.
I still have to plumb the return lines. My return pump comes in tomorrow so it will be done by the end of the weekend. I still have to purchase 2 other pumps for the wave maker.
I built a dual fan holder that rests on the return section. Its towards the back of the picture. I ordered the TCP 10000k flood lamp that Melev's recommended online.
You might have noticed that there is not a light fixture yet. I am still shopping around for one.
Any advice or criticism is encouraged.
Matt
