Someone gave me a used sump which is a30L.
I wanna remove the baffles and re stick them in different lengths.

1) how can I easily remove the ones that have bubble trap? There's a tiny separation between glass baffle and tank glass where there's silicone.

Wonder if I can cut thru that gap with thin metal wire like piano wire.

Will this work?

2) iam gonna place sump under a 75g in factory stand which is 30"high.need enough
Clearance to take my octopus nw b150 skimmer out from back .
the sump tank is 16.75" high.
hoping that this would work
To maximize clearance I want to place sump on concrete floor. But since my basement floor will be cold, I wanna place sump on a thin piece of insulator material which is sw safe.

What do I put between sump and concrete floor?

Please advice!:)
Thx in advance.......kris

Just use the tip of a razor blade to cut through the silicone holding the baffles, be careful around the tank seals. Then scrape it off the sides of the tank and the baffles, silicone the baffles back in where you want them.
You could get away with a piece of 1/4" plywood under the tank, but basement floors are not necessarily that flat. Better to get a sheet of 3/4" from Lowe's or HD to put under it.
