3110/2 vs 9002.000

I have a 3110/2 and I was wondering how much better the 9002 is?

The 9002 has a stronger pump, it has a higher flow, the water flow is roughly 30gph more and the air flow is about 5gph more. That is really it, otherwise they are the same.

I guess it would not be worth the upgrade then?

Also higher flow does that mean more microbubbles in the tank? I thought the change in voltage caused the pumps out put in the 3110 to be higher that is why there was so many microbubbles at first with the skimmer. Would the 9002 be worse with a even stronger pump at first if the design is the same?

I really like the skimmer or I would not be considering a different one it was that the microbubbles were a real pita with this skimmer for the first several weeks. Also it does still put out a few.

I wouldn't upgrade, it is only a little better and yes, the microbubble issue is the same when new, it is baffled differently so it is really about the same in that regard.
