3155 ATO question - piece missing?

Hi Roger,

Two quick questions - first I had to put my ATO unit inside my sump because given the space I am working with the power line to the pump wasn't long enough. So...is it better to extend the wires to the pump so I can move the unit out of the sump (to mounting board with controller) or better to leave as is? (The unit is high and dry in the sump and the back is wide open, so humidity should be the same as the rest of the room..). If extending wire, what gauge should I use?

Second - I just finished installing my 3155 ATO and it works great! Only problem is when I had to connect the float valve to the magnetic base, it looks like there was a place for a nut to screw into place to hold the float valve on...but there wasn't one. Looking a pics online, mine float valve looks different? Here are a couple pics:

It seems to hold in place OK as is - actually more level in sump than the pic...just wondered if I had everything.

Thanks!

Look the full length of the cord for the nut, it should be their but may be down near the controller. The float is the same one we have used for a couple decades now. If the nut is missing I can send you one.

You can extend the pump wire with 22 gauge or higher speaker wire.
