3155 Osmolator not working

Hello,

Well it appears my procrastination may have sunk me again.

I began having a problem with my 3155 approximately 5 or 6 months ago. I have been in the process of building a new set up and put addressing it on the back burner, figuring it was just a simple fix, i.e. build up on the sensor.

I had to manually top off my other water system anyway and was planning on getting a 2nd ATO when the project was complete.

I finally got around to looking at it...and it is not the sensor. I cleaned the (already clean sensor) and it still will not recognize the difference of being in water or not.

It shows green and indicates "level" on power up, pumps for a few seconds and shuts the pump off, still indicating "level." However when water is removed, or evaporates...it constantly reads "level."

I checked for bubbles, and it is in a very calm area of my sump. No bubbles, but I did find a floating dead mosquito next to the sensor...so I changed it to a different sump just to double check. Same issue. (I know a floating dead mosquito wouldn't stay in the tank for 6 months, but I wanted to dbl check)

I purchased the unit on 4/27/11 from BRS. As fate would have it I left my project 1 week until after the warranty expired.

Any suggestions?

(for what it is worth, I searched some other threads and saw a "diagnostic" with the float down, sensor dry and when you first plug it in all four lights should come on, then one Green/yellow/or red for the status...But my controller won't do this. It powers on with the "level" green light, and the "pump on" light for the few seconds that the pump is on, then that light shuts off and the green "level" light stays on, (regardless of if it is level or not))

Thank you for whatever help you can offer. If my procrastination costs me $200.00 I will only have myself to blame, but here's hoping for a better outcome.

Thanks much

A unit of this age will not have the diagnostics, that started at the very end of 2011 with a new circuit board design.

Please send it in, include a note with your return address and phone number. This sounds fairly simple to repair.
