325 gallon accro tank video link

Nice tank dude! I have a similar mix of tangs like you have. I also have a few angels, Regal, Lemon Peel and Flame. I was going to try an Emperor. How is he w/ the SPS? There is a juvey Emperor that I had my eye on.

Let me know how the Emp gets along w/ everybody, and especially the corals. BTW, I have a 180, so my tank is not that small, but it is way smaller than yours.

The Emperator destroys corals. When he decides one tastes good he will bite 3 to 15 or so tips off of what ever branches he picks. He especially likes the thin crispy ones, Hawkins, Tyree Solie and Nasutras especially. Grieves one or another a trimming about once a week or so. I have found frags on plugs all the way accross the tank on top of corals so i know he carried thm . Thats six feet away. he constantly moves my plugs off of my frag rack and its not unusual to count my PM frags and find one missing. Sometimes i find them , sometimes i dont.....Great fish, love him like a bad puppy but he is rough on my corals. Oh and when i put my hand in the tank without food he bites me on the inside of the arm and draws blood. Nice little half moon marks all over the inside of the arm. He acts like he likes me when i walk up tot he tank but i think he is just trying to lure me in there with him. And did I mention he grunts.....
When he was a juvenile he lived in my old system which was a standard 180 tank. One of the reasons i upgraded to the larger tank was to keep the large adult Emperator.

Any problems with the gold flake? I love those fish, but I was always too scared to toss them in any of my reef tanks (especially since almost all of my tanks were a mix of soft and hard corals).

All the angel fish eat any LPS they see. Even leather corals are fair game. Also most zoanthids are gobbled down with unbridled enthusiasum. The Angel fish seem to be the most omnivorous fish in my tanks. They eat just about anything. The golden also picks at the base of the sps.

That's a very sad truth!
I love the Angels too, but they belong to the ocean, to a decent FO or a LARGEr reef tank, like yours.
Thanks for sharing the tank and about the bad puppy.
I loved the video! Very nice system!!!!
Please make sure to share more about the system, when you get time.

Take care of your arm, man!

Grandis.
