330 gallon build.

The tank is looking great and I am glad you are treating the issue before it gets out of hand. Your build makes me wonder why I haven't got my 300 wet yet. Good luck with the QT. I'm sure they will be glad to get back to the luxury tank in a few weeks...

Got the QT down to 1.008 last night. I lost a fire fish today. The rest look good. The PBT has no spots for the first time in a while.

How are you liking your 4-6105s? My current build is going to have a tank almost the same size only 6" shorter in height. Right now I'm planning on the same 4-6105s but am also considering a pair of 6255s...assuming they ever come out.

BTW, looking good so far, I'm planning minimal rock maybe not as little as what you have but along the same lines. Mine is also planned to have lots of tangs too!! Can't wait to see this progress.

I like having 4 pumps. This way I can eliminate most dead spots. With two big ones you would be limited in your options. They provide plenty of flow IMO. I can get a nice wave going also. I had one go out on me but a call to Tunze USA and three days later I had my replacement! I would buy from them again. I may even buy one of their return pumps based solely on their response to my failed 6105!

Good to know, I may look at getting 2 6155s and 2 of the 6105s so I have the best of both worlds the new pumps are supposed to have a wider flow than the 6105s.

My deltec CA reactor conversion to Bio-Pellet reactor failed. There was not enough internal circulation. I added a used Reef Dynamics BPR500. It came in broken so I had to fix it but it is working well now. Despite my very heavy feeding my PO4 is 0.00 and Nitrates are 0.00. I probably need to dial it back a little in fact. The RD keep the pellets moving well.

After going FALLOW I ended up selling the Powder Blue Tang. Those things are just to prone to ICH. I lost several fish during Hypo-Salinity QT but have added quite a few since reintroducing the fish to the display. When I add animals I feed more heavily so they get the best opportunity to feed and learn that I am there to feed them not harm them. I have been doing 60g water changes every two weeks to also help offset the heavy feeding. Here is a list of some of the new additions. Photos to come.
