350 Gallon Inwall Tank Project Begins!!

I am using the philosophy of our government in regards to the budget. A little here, a little there call it home improvement, interior decorating, add a few pieces of plumbing to my home depot trip who's the wiser? :)

As far as the tank goes, it should be here around the end of the month. Yes I am epoxying the floor and starting to do some room renovations to make the equipment room look good. I will post pics soon!

Victoria secret HMMMM (not back in the outdoor section!!)

I hear you might have some budget problems. Are we running over budget and trying to hide the extra expenses in the grocery money? Where are some new pics of that big tank in progress, word is you are finally doing the whole floor and wall thing, epoxy part A and B, scary stuff, just remember, everything is "clearly marked". When is that big tank coming anyway?

wife

ps, the new tiffany's catalog arrived today along with the victoria's secret catalog, play those tank cards right baby.

HAHAHA

Dude, Im in stiches

The truck guy was nervous but I assured him I have seen this done like this before as the tank tetered off the lift gate.

Here is the crate with some strange canadian type screws holding it together (very well packed):

Hahaha, Thats great Jacob, I am glad it arrived safe and sound. I forgot to send the beaver with the tank to open the crate for ya. Sorry :)

I will be glad to watch this tank progress. Have fun, and take lots of pics.

Thanks to Jasen a fellow reefer for doing the grunt work on getting everything cut and dry fitted today. I started glueing tonight and should finish up tomorrow.

The system has two closed loops to either side of center, two 1.5 in durso drains and two eductor returns (right side in picture). One added feature is the CL on the left will have a valve dedicated to drainage during water change (red handle valve).

I'm glad I looked at this thread. I'm getting my 360gl on Tuesday from AO. Was the lift gate truck a semi? How did you get it in your garage? I am just trying to figure out what I need to get mine in my house. If you get a minute Pm me that would great.

The lift gate truck was a semi. The guy did not want to put it on the lift gate because the gate was like 30 in or so, consequently it hung way out in the air quite a bit. I backed my truck behind it as he put it on the gate as a precaution. Fortunately it never teetered off. As we lowered it I put my weight on the opposite end as a guard against any jerky movement by the gate as it went down. Once it was on the ground they have a hand truck that easily moved it into the garage. I unloaded it with just the one moving guy.

She is up and running. I transferred my 110 gallon into the new tank, reaquascaped and today just finished putting in the last of the sand:

Here it is getting settled in after all the abuse:

Now to finish remodelling the rest of the house
