36x36x27 tank question

Hi Roger,
I'm building a 36x36x27 (lwh) tank and I had a couple of tunze questions. It will be an SPS dominated tank. I have 2 x 6055s and 2 x 6025s currently. I was thinking of an external overflow with 2 external waveboxes flanking the overflow. I have a Profilux controller and I was thinking of putting a pair of old style 6100s in the waveboxes. Do you think this will be a problem? I figure I can get a decent wave going with those 2 pumps.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks,
Chris

I think it would work, just keep in mind that built in waveboxes are tricky, if it doesn't work, you are stuck and it may not work only because of the position of live rock. I think your flow is a bit underpowered and might suggest running the 2 6100 and 2 6055 and adding a 6215 instead.

Thanks Roger. That's a good point about the LR. I will have to think about the best placement to maximize the wave. Maybe a slope down the center of the tank between the waveboxes and in front of the overflow.
