38 IM MP10, recommended placement?

I am playing around with a new IM 38 gallon tank, and a vortec MP10. What is the recommended depth below water level for mounting this pump for best results?

We do not have any specific recommendations for VorTech placement. That being said, I would recommend placing the MP10 in an area where it can provide unobstructed flow. Also, you may find it necessary to experiment with different positions until you find what works best for your aquarium.

I have the same set up. I have mine about 6" down from very top of glass. I not been able to make waves but the tank is small. what have you found to be a sweet spot?1955

I would place it higher to create the waves. I have a 30, placement is about 3.50" from the top and I get pretty good waves.
