380 - 400 G

Well, I am lookinng at putting a 400 plus in on the main floor of a two storey with basement. It is not a huge house but the tank would divide the kitchen, and living room which is now open. Has anyone any experiance with this, I am concerned with the tank being in the living area of the house, and of course the humidity, but we are a very dry climate here in Alberta similar to Texas with much colder weather. I will be supporting the main floor beams in the basement heavily so I am not worried about the floor loading.

Here's what I did. I had no real problems with humidity, but of course I had a 260 not a 400+. I think you will be fine. Do look out for maintenance issues...ie cleaning, access to the tank, filtration (where it's located...mine was in the basement ) ect. Looks like a fun project!
