It's never to early to start thinking about the third annual frag swap. To hold with the past, it will likely be the weekend around the 14th of January (as the other two have been). Last years was set up over just a few months, and that may not have been enough time. We have a good number of suggestions from the last one, so we have a good foundation for the next one. Technically, I'd like to wait until elections to get anything started (coralreefing is working on something for elections), but start thinking of ideas on what you'd like to see. I haven't scouted any locations yet, but the Radisson told me they might be able to make a nice offer for the use of the atrium, whcih could be kinda cool. I need to check it out to see how the access is for people to get their setups in and out, but the ambience may be really cool. We know we need more people to run the doors and other activities, so we'll be atking volunteers in the coming months (probably closer to the date so people will know their calendars). foggy54's wife and daughter and Jenn took the door and tickets sales last year and were almost overwhelmed. We'll also likely need an MTRC table for signing people up and handing out cards, etc., since January is renewal time, too (kept me very busy last year). We will learn from the shortcomings from last years and try to maintain the same type of crackhead atmosphere

It has been quite a while since we had elections and have a lot of people who weren't here for the last elections that seem to be very interested in the hobby (and may be interested in positions). We'll probably try to do some sort of email elections so everyone can have a chance. In the past, we've done elections at meetings, and many cannot make most meetings, so we want to make things fair for all. This type of election process worked well for ETRC, so we'll take a cue from them.
