4-Line Wrasse fighting with Mystery Wrasse

I have had the 4-Line for a month in my 450g and just added a Mystery Wrasse yesterday. These two fish went at-it immediately with the 4-Line winning the turf war. I moved the Mystery to a critter keeper acclimation container this morning. The two continue to peck at each other through the plastic literally nonstop.

In your experience is this hatred toward each other likely to subside after a few days and they can live peacefully together?

They are close cousins in the nasty Psuedocheilinus genus, so I'm not surprised that they hate each other.

I would think that 450 gallons would be enough space, though. I'm curious to see how it plays out.

They stopped fighting through the plastic after 24 hours. I kept the mystery wrasse in the container an additional 2 days and they ignored each other completely.

I just re introduced the mystery wrasse to the shared main body of water and the war began again... ugh

I am now looking to trap the 4-line and move him to my sump for a couple weeks to see if that helps. If not, gotta decide who to get rid of.
