4-Line wrasse with enlarged eye

My 4-line has a swollen right eye. 1 eye only. He's been in the tank for 6 months. No decompression syndrome or anything lke that. I've recently introduced: red chili coral, yellow gorg, purple urchins, and a cuke.

Any idea what would cause this?

Ever have this happen?

Is this a form of pop eye/Popeye?
And if so just leave it alone?

Hi jbleacher,

Well I can't tell you for beucase there is no pic. But what you describe is probably pop eye or the staring of it.

It will go away with good water quality. Since you recently introduced new fish, I personally would suspect that there was some sort of squabble and he injured it.

Make sure to keep up your water quality and watch out for any infection.
