4 month old tank. Ich!

I'm new to the hobby so please have some patience :(
I have a 55 gallon fish only tank with a couple of snails and cleaner shrimp
Everything has been fine until I noticed my blue tang with ich earlier this week. I went to my LFS and purchased "ICH X". Followed the instructions, did the water change, medicated, and waited. Next morning nothing. Poor tang had it all over. Skipped a day as recommended. Did the water change and medication again. Checked the next day still nothing and the tang looked stressed.
I read about the Freshwater dip method so I tried it on the tang. Seemingly it worked, I can see the ich just popping off it's body. It went back in it's tank and still seemed stressed. Next morning he was gone :(

Obviously now he's gone from the tank and I'm now noticing some ich on my clownfish.
A couple of questions.
Should I do the freshwater dip with a different type of medication or no medication at all. Copper based etc. I also have API Super Ick Cure but never used.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

FW dips do nothing for ich, the white spot isn't the actual parasite, which is buried in the fish. Ich-X is a very weak formaldehyde product that will not eliminate ich.

ALL of your fish have ich, not just the spotted ones. All fish will have to be treated in a QT/HT while your main tank stays fishless for 12 weeks or so. Then, quarantine all new fish and avoid going through this again.
