4 Months FINALLY hosting!!! QUESTIONS

Well i have had my oscellaris clown for about 4 1/2 months now, and my BTA for 3 months and the clown never went anywhere near the anenome. I watched my tank for about an hour yesterday as Isaw unusual behavior frmo the clown as he was swimming around my hammer and BTA, thne he tested both and finally went into the BTA. He hadnt left it for about24 hours but now when i gothome tonight it seems as if he is taking to the hammer...... but only because it looks as if my emerald crab is standing guard in front of the anenome ( he used ot sleep underneath or between the BTA and rock it was on) what should i do? Remove the emerald crab? let ihm just host the hammer? Will my clown give up on the BTA since this challenge/ road bloc kwas put into his way?

I jsut checked on my reef and now where the clown was messing around in the hammer it looks as though the emerald crab has too moved up right next to the hammr practically on it so the clown seems scared up there now to....

Maybe do something with the crab...sounds like the crab doesn't want your clown hosting anything...lol

haha yeah really.... well what could i get ot subsitute the cleaning job my emerald crab seems to do such a great job of?.....

update clown has moved back down into the aneme and is having a blast!

Clowns usually win out over crabs for anemones, so maybe just give it some time.

no clowns dont beat crabs
your thinking about a different kind of crab the anemone crab an emrald crab if it wanted to could kill your clowns take it out replace with small blue leg hermits or snails

Yeah, I already have 25 turbo snails. 25 cerith, and 25 blue leg hermits, so taking out the emerald crab would be for the better????
