I have what looks like spawn on my glass.
I have a pair of 4 stripe damsels which do a nightly mating dance. They are the biggest pair of these that I've ever seen, and they were already mated when I purchased the tank 2 years ago.
The larger of the pair is ferociously guarding the spawn. She usually pecks at my hand or anything that I put in the tank, but she's being diligent about attacking anything close.
Of course, today is the day that I introduced 50 snails and I put them right under the spawn. She or he has been going nuts. My bad. I didn't figure it out 'til now.
