4 x 4 Cube Tank

I'm thinking of doing a 4'x4' cube tank, and was considering using the Lumenarc III reflectors over the new tank......I was wondering how many reflectors would be needed to light the tank without shadowing? I'm planning on 2 rock structures, so in a sense lighting the entire tank brightly would seem like a waste?? Any help or thoughts?

I'm in the same boat!

I am upgrading from a 4 x 18" to a 4x4. I have 2 lumenarc mini's on my current tank, which I will use on my new tank. I'm going to add 1 more, so I will have 2 at the front and 1 at the back. To get uniform lighting of the entire tank I think you really need 4, but I dont mind a bit of shade in spots, I think it adds to the depth. I also considered 2 lumenarcs with a row of t5's either side, which you could consider.

What's your depth going to be? I have a 4 x 4 x 2 cube tank and I'm running 4 - 250 watt DE MH in PFO mini pendents. I've tried out the Lumenarc and like the light output better than my PFO's. If you look for my name you'll see my build thread. HTH

Hey chetm2.....beautiful setup........I'm going to read more indepth of your build and copy a few things if you don't mind?

This is going over my 5ftx5ftx30inch tank:
