40 breeder

i am up grading my tank to a 40 breeder and this is a little drawing i made of my plans so far. what do you think? what size tubeing should i use? the sump i plan to use is a 20 high, i know not the best tank for a sump but i have it laying around and it's better that a 10. as you can see i plan on drilling the tank. my main doubt is about the overflow since i have never done one through a bulkhead and everything.

1" overflow with 1" flex PVC
1" gate valve on overflow

1" return with a "Y" split to (2) 3/4" inlets
ball valves on each split and a check valve near the pump

I drilled the left side of my tank for a drain and just used 6" slip sreens on a T for the overflow. Its a little noisey but it works great. I only have a 3/4" drain (should have done 1"). My return is an iwaki 30 that sends water to a manifold to send water back to the tank, to the skimmer, to the UV and and phosreactor, and to the fuge. Then i have a 3/4 intake in the lower middle of the tank to another iwaki 30rlt through 2 scwds for closed loop. If i can ever figure out how to post pics, i will.
