A very very good friend, managed to get me to not give up and start a smaller system. I received from him a small aquarium and stand, how you can keep a pair of clownfish and some coral. I gave up the idea of this system is still too small (15 gal), but the momentum was enough to start a system startup.
Aquarium is an older one which I have replaced the front and sides with ultra clear glass.
tank: -36 "x16" x16 "~ 40 gal.
- 2 Koralia pumps Evolio 5200 pumps.
- LED lamp 15x10w, D.I.Y, blue: white = 2:1.
Sump:
- 3 compartments.
- Sice Silent recirculation pump (357 gal / h).
- Skimmer Aqua Medic Turboflotor Multi SL 1000.
The idea of a system is clean, minimalist, with sps corals.
Also from Lucian got a dry reef rock from which you make your aquascaping.
Biological filtration is achieved with 2 gal matrix, placed in a container in the second compartment of the sump. Water will pass over it to the pump room.
I use a phosphate reactor environment and a sink for carbon bag.
I plan to use and biopallets, although in the past I have had very good results with vinegar.
I do not know whether to choose an aquarium with / without substrate ....!
