I have just finished my stand, the painted background of my tank. I have a few questions regarding setup.
First some more info on the tank (I am planning on going sumpless) and not keeping SPS. being first tank want to keep in as simple as possible.
I have the dry rock, sand to hydor 750 powerheads, and heater, and reef octupus on its way.
1.)The first question i have is I'm considering 2 light fixtures both 36inch can you please help to tell me which I should go with?

2.) The second question is can i start and cycle the aquarium with just rocks and powerheads and skimmer coming next week, or should I get a HOB to help with startup, I plan to run both Carbon and GFO once I get the tank cycled?
