40 Gallon Eel Tank

Thank you for the compliment. He has finally found the pvc pipes and seems to like that much more than the rockwork. This morning I saw him peeping out of one of the holes for a couple of minutes. Still no interest in eating yet. I'll wait until tonight to see if he will eat something.

Cool, my little guy is a beast, he came in so small I decided to add a baby niger trigger. My plans are to put my 3 baby triggers and the eel in a bigger tank next year. So I fed the niger some mysis, jewel went crazy. Came out and bit the niger in the butt, didn't hurt him at all he didn't even flinch. So I fed him a piece of silverside, he snatched it right up. Here's the best pics I could get so far, those dots are actually pretty bright gold.

How's that skimmer working, you didn't have to do any mods did you. I'm having some trouble with my skimmer, I think it's a water level problem. If I can't shim it p and make it work I'll have to get another skimmer.

Awesome looking jewel he does have some cool color on him. I bet he looks much better in person.

As far the aquamaxx I think it's the perfect beginner skimmer because you can literally set it and leave it. No mods or anything of the like necessary. And it started pulling gunk on day 5. Mind you at the time my bioload was extremely small. I love the skimmer so far it does everything its supposed to. Best purchase by far.
