40 Stretch Hex Upgrade

BAd News Guys. I just found my little lawn mower Blenny on the floor he must have jumped out last night. Anyone know what I can put over the tank to stop other fish from jumping out?? Something that wont interfere with my light output

I'm not to sure....maybe some type of netting. I personally try to stay from jumpers, but there are also soo many that are neat fish...

I actually just fill it with RODI water each day. If I m going for a long weekend, I just put more water in there so that it balances out. I do have a periastatic pump for water changes but I havent set it up yet......

looking good!
my tank is still very very new... here's the 125 (finally)

Brisk,
Your tank looks awesome. I love the aquascaping. I have the same tank and have never been happy with my scaping so I might have to try something like yours! very inspirational!

Hey Hootie51....

Thanks for the compliment!! Yes, I always liked the look of a more open tank vs just stacking rocks. Its been close to a year my tank has been up and I still like my aquascaping. I wouldn't change it. It's hard to really get the rocks to go "all the way to the top" without looking unnatural. So I decided to just put less rocks, and have a "canyon look"....

A side view showing my Blue Tort (top right). It's hard to see its true blue coloration from the front shots....

Update: I switched to a XM 250 on the tank. I am also planning on building a canopy. I want to supplement two 2' VHO actinic bulbs. I have a question, for anyone following this thread or just passing through, do you have diagrams for building a canopy for this tank dimension? Its a bit different then your standard tank!

ALSO, I just ordered an Icecap Vortech Pump, I will be getting rid of some of those Maxi jets....I hope it to replaced with Stag Growth!!!!!

Some pics of my canopy in progress. Got 2 24" 75 Watt VHO lighting and really like the look. They run on an Icecap 660 Ballast.
