how much heat by themselves will these give off roughly?
i am considering getting a 2x400 mag. ballast and 2 ReefLux bulbs, but i am worried about heat issues and maybe a little with AMP draw as well.

I have 3 400 watt bulbs on my 180gal and they keep our livingroom quite warm in the winter, about 72-75 deg. without the heater on. You will need a chiller but that depends on the size of your tank.

I have 2 250w in a pendant and its hot. Im with ragwin in cali and need not heaters on my tank and run a chiller. Winter its already hard to keep temps down here but is done with fans. Summer i need a chiller to keep it under control.

I have two 400 MH over a 110 which is extra deep. It heats the water to a nice SPA temp  . I have a chiller that goes on for about five minutes four or five times a night in the winter.

I have a 90 with 2 400w hqi halides. I have 3 fans on each side of the canopy all pointing the same direction. With all the fans on it actually cools the tank with the halides on.
