400W XM 10K on PFO HQI ballast

Just an appearance question

How does this combo look? Yellowish, pure white, blue-tint, etc.? Sample pics would be great, too.

Thanks! That's a nice crisp white. I guess the HQI ballast would give it a more yellowish look.

my experience is hqi's is a little less yellow, less intense , the m59's are stronger but more yellow
truthfully, can't stand the look either way.

One thing I would also say is that they are VERY intense I have had to lower a few acro's in my tank along with cutting back my photo period by an hour.
